Symphonic Summer

Symphonic Summer, formerly known as Symphonic Broadway, is an annual free open-air music event held at the Oude Markt that kicks off the summer with music. As the sun slowly sets, the Oude Markt transforms into an atmospheric open-air theater where symphonic music takes center stage. Every year, it’s another accessible and captivating evening filled with familiar melodies, energy, and summer fun. Come to the Oude Markt, take a seat in one of the few designated seating areas (specially for people with disabilities), or stand in the square and enjoy recognizable melodies and impressive orchestral sounds.

This event is organized by several local and cultural partners, including, Phion, Orchestra of Gelderland & Overijssel, Wilminktheater and Muziekcentrum Enschede, ArtEZ Conservatory, Ondernemersfonds Enschede and Stichting Enschede Promotie.,
