SYNAGOGUE OF ENSCHEDE

Numerous beautiful buildings adorn Enschede with their luster. One of them is the synagogue in the Prinsestraat, at the edge of the city centre.

It is known as one of Europes most beautiful synagogues and is definitely worth a visit. Its exterior is an eye-catcher. It has three big brass domes and colored stained glass windows. Inside, architect De Bazel combined art deco elements with an oriental style. The synagogue is still in use as a place of worship. Opening hours are from Tuesday to Thursday from 11 am to 5 pm and on Sunday from 11 am till 5pm.
