Forelderij
De Forelderij is a trout fishery and smokehouse, a market garden and shop, and a fruit, herb, and flower picking farm, complete with a charming tea and coffee café. It’s also a wonderful venue for parties and special occasions.
There are two trout ponds where you can freely fish for salmon trout or rainbow trout.
At De Forelderij, you can catch your own trout and have it prepared right away. Prefer smoked fish? You can exchange your freshly caught trout for a delicious smoked version.
The site also features a large garden with a fruit, herb, and flower picking area and a vegetable plot. In the vegetable garden, you’ll find a variety of seasonal, untreated produce. In the fruit-picking area, you can fill your own basket with strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and more. And in the colorful flower field, you can create your very own bouquet of wildflowers. In the farm shop, you’ll find untreated fruits and vegetables, delicious Usselo honey, homemade jam, and smoked trout.
There’s a spacious terrace and a beautiful, natural playground for children. Set in a scenic area that’s perfect for walking and cycling, De Forelderij is an ideal spot to take a break. The tea and coffee café offers a lovely place to relax with a warm drink and something tasty on the side.
