Anneke Malingré studied psychology at the University of Utrecht. She also successfully trained as a pharmacy assistant. After her marriage, she worked for many years as a manager in a large pharmacy in Hengelo.
In 1992, she graduated from the Art Academy (AKI) in Enschede as a visual artist.
