Playfully, children become familiar with animals and nature here.

At Stadsboerderij De Wesseler, there’s always something going on. From stroking the animals to picking beans in the vegetable garden – there's something for everyone, no matter your age.

Come and meet the animals: take a walk with the alpacas, pet the goats, or stop by to see the chickens, donkeys, pigs, ducks and rabbits.

The vegetable and flower gardens are lovingly maintained by volunteers. Every Thursday morning (in season), you can buy freshly picked vegetables and beautiful flowers right from the garden!

Just behind the gardens, you’ll find the bee house – a special building where you can safely observe the bees at work through glass. Schools can even book lessons from a local beekeeper, who explains the importance of bees in our ecosystem.

The city farm also hosts fun annual events, such as the Sheep Shearing Festival and the magical lantern parade for St. Martin’s Day.
