The oldest marathon in the Netherlands.
Every year, thousands of runners enter the Enschede Marathon. This race is the oldest in the Netherlands and was first organized in 1947. Runners praise the Enschede Marathon for its fast course. The marathon always has a part in an urban area and a section in a more rural area outside of Enschede. It is truly a world-class sports event, with contestants from all over the world.
