Rijksmuseum Twenthe
East Netherlands' richest and finest art collection.
The Rijksmuseum Twenthe has the richest and most beautiful art collection in the east of the Netherlands. Enjoy the changing exhibitions of contemporary, modern and classical art.
Rijksmuseum Twenthe is the museum of the imagination, a museum where every exhibition tells us something about the culture, past or present, of which the art objects are a part. With a large and extremely rich art collection, loans and donations, up to 10 exhibitions are programmed every year, several side by side.
Enjoy Breitner, Breughel, Ruisdael and Redon, Jongkind and Monet and the many other masters in the 36 rooms. You can enjoy coffee in the museum café and adjacent courtyard garden, as well as a delicious lunch.
Museumcafé
The Museum Café is located in the 1994-1996 extension designed by architect Ben van Berkel and renovated in 2012. In fine weather, you can relax on the terrace under the trees in the adjoining courtyard garden. The café is accessible without an entrance ticket.
The Museum Café is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm. The shortest way to the Museum Café is the route through the garden. To do so, take the garden entrance behind the entrance desk. Click here for more information and the menu.
