Enschede Lights Up
Spectacular free light-art projections route through the city centre of Enschede.
Enschede Lights Up is the opportunity to get to know Enschede in a completely different light!
From 11th until 14th December, the spectacular light art route through the city centre of Enschede makes a big return. This year, Enschede Lights Up takes place from 11 to 14 December 2025. The starting point of this unique free route is at Tourist Info Enschede, Langestraat 41. The locations can be visited daily between 5:00 pm and 10:00 pm. During these days, Tourist Info Enschede will have extended opening hours from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. This year, the route includes 11 locations.
In addition to all the locations, there will once again be fantastic street theatre performances along the route. At the starting point on Langestraat 41, visitors can enjoy glow-in-the-dark face painting, and of course you’ll find food and drinks available along the route.
New this year is the historic TET bus, which will take visitors free of charge from the Twente Board location to two other locations on the route.
You can find the stops at the following locations:
- Twente Board – at the intersection of M.H. Tromplaan and Piet Heinstraat
- Saxion – at the intersection of M.H. Tromplaan and De Ruyterlaan
- Villa Schuttersveld – behind Maison Manon at Meubelplein, Schuttersveld 3, where the road borders the villa grounds and you’ll see the large parking area
