Ice skating rink in Enschede
It's time to have some winter fun again at the ice skating rink at the Oude Markt from the 28th of November 2025 until the 4th of January 2026. This year we combine the 'gezelligheid' of Enschede with coldness and a variety of activities. Get creative, eat good food, go curling, or join the Friday disco.
The Enschedees Schaatscafé at the Oude Markt is the place to be this winter. Drink a hot chocolate in the cafe, get the skates ready, and see whether the talent is in you! Entrance is €5, and skates can be rented for € 2.50.
Ice skating is possible every day from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., from November 28, 2025, until January 4, 2026.*
- Days: 28 November 2025 till 4 January 2026
- Time: 09:30 till 22:00 uur
- Costs: Entrance is €5,- and ice skates can be rented for €2,50
*Mind you: On kerstmiddag (Christmas afternoon) the rink is closed. First and second Christmas day, New Years Eve- and day, the rink is open until 18.00.

Sinterklaas on the skating rink
On 28 November and 5 December Sinterklaas will be in the Skating Café. Will you come and shake his hand between 16:00 and 17:00?
Christmas Wine Tasting
On 20 December there will be a (Christmas) wine tasting in the Skating Café. This interactive tasting is hosted by wine expert/sommelier Marleen, owner of Flavourite Wine. It starts at 20:00. Sign up here!
Winter Pub Quiz with Let’s Quiz
Wel klook is, heurt één woord en begrip der twee! (If you’re smart, you hear one word and understand two!)
On Tuesday 23 December at 20:00 teams will compete for an Enschedees Skating Café Bock beer during this cosy pub quiz. A team consists of a maximum of five people and the registration fee is €15 per team (excluding service charges). Sign up here!
Curling Tournament
Wat nen boer nich kent dat spöllte nich! (What the farmer doesn’t know, he doesn’t play!) But we’re happy to teach you in a playful way.
This year the curling stones are ready and we’re competing for the Enschedees Skating Café Championship. Will you follow in last year’s winner’s footsteps? Sign up now with your football team, friends or colleagues. Team registrations are already open and spots are limited. Will you be competing with your friends, colleagues or family? The tournament takes place in the first three weeks of December on weekday evenings. The final is on 29 December. Sign up here and join in!
Christmas Afternoon

Will you come and celebrate Christmas Afternoon at the ice rink this year from 12:30 to 19:00? In collaboration with Twentenannies you can enjoy a beer or a glass of wine in the Enschedees Skating Café while your children (ages 4 to 12) are entertained. Be quick, because last year tickets sold out in no time. A big party for the whole family! Ticket sales start on 1 November at 9:30.
