Library Enschede + Stoet

If you are looking for a silent working spot, you should go to the Enschede Library. The library is a perfect spot to take some time for yourself and to focus completely. When you are ready for a break, you only need to pack your stuff and move to one of the tables at Stoet. Stoet is a popular place in the city centre to work or study. Apart from that, it has an amazing menu with sandwiches, salades, soups, bowls and pancakes. Enjoy!

Twentsche Foodhal

This location is not right in the city centre and probably not the first place you will think of when you are looking for a place to study. From Thursdaynight to Sunday, the Twentsche Foodhal is the location for food and drinks in tapas style. Nevertheless is the Foodhal opened every day from 09:00 - 17:00 for everyone who would like to study or work. There are many charging points and between 11:30 - 14:30 you can order yourself a delicious lunch.

Bagels & Beans

Bagels & Beans was my first study spot outside my own home. The relaxing atmosphere and the good dishes on the menu made sure that I was able to study all day long. Take a seat at the big table in the back or pick one of my favourite seats: a spot at the window. It is always nice to see what is happening outside during the day.

Coffee Fellows 

Do you need to collaborate or discuss a project, or do you just want to sit down without too much fuss around you? Then take a seat at Coffee Fellows. Grab a well-filled bagel and a delicious cup of coffee at the counter, and settle at the communal table or in a chair by the window. A great spot to simply get things done.

Museum cafés

Try the museum cafes if you are looking for an inspiring location! At the cafes in De Museumfabriek or Rijksmuseum Twenthe, you have free WiFi and a great menu. When you show your student card, you will even be able to visit the museum for free! The best combination of working and culture.

Wallstreet

Wallstreet is a special study space from the University of Twente, De Veste and the Student Union. This is the spot to study in peace. It is has long opening hours and is located in the city centre. There is no option to order food, but there is a good old coffee machine. Out of money? This place will keep you focused on your studies instead of food and drinks.
 

Meisje 

Moeke 

Studying at Moeke: an excellent choice! It’s the perfect workspace to meet up for a project meeting, write reports together, or cram hard for an exam. Take a seat on the outdoor benches when the sun is shining, or pick a cosy spot inside. And of course, I don’t need to tell you that at Moeke you can order the best coffee, the tastiest sandwiches, and other treats all day long. Not to mention: this hotspot is open from early morning until late at night, perfect for when you really want to get some serious studying done.

SamSam

Experience the unique, calm atmosphere of SamSam and you won’t want to sit anywhere else. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious latte with one of the healthy dishes from the extensive menu, all while working on your laptop. I’ve spent many hours with my laptop and study books on SamSam’s terrace. Done studying? Then you can stick around for a bite to eat or catch a movie at Concordia.

Heel Bijzonder

Something a little different. That’s the best way to describe this workspace. At Heel Bijzonder, you’re served by people who are distanced from the job market. Here, they receive the guidance they need to eventually move on to a regular job. By working here, you’re not only earning study points for yourself, but also helping others at the same time! On top of that, everything you see in this café is for sale from the furniture to the (home) accessories. You’ll also find the only cookie dough bar in the region here, and you can order the most delicious cakes and sandwiches. Consider yourself warned!

Het Wilminktheater 

Looking for a place to study, reflect, and connect in peace? Then the Wilminktheater is the perfect spot to get some studying done or to meet new people.

Extra bonus: throughout September, you can enjoy free coffee and tea here.

Douwe Egberts Café 

In the mood for a place where the smell of freshly brewed coffee instantly gets you in the right flow? Then the Douwe Egberts Café is the place to be. Spacious tables, comfortable chairs, and always a power outlet within reach. While you type away on your laptop, you can sip a cappuccino or enjoy a sweet treat. Need a break? Look outside and let the bustle of the city inspire you. Here, studying almost feels like relaxing.
